WE CARE, PLEASE SHARE: COMMITTED TO PATIENT & VISITOR SAFETY
We are committed to your safety, and we're making every effort to prevent medical errors. We support the Speak Up campaign led by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (also known as The Joint Commission) and encourage patients to read the brochure to learn more.
We encourage you to play a vital role in making your healthcare safe by becoming an active, involved and informed member of your healthcare team. We encourage you to “speak up” and make your care a positive experience.
MORE ABOUT SPEAK UP - A PATIENT SAFETY PROGRAM
SampsonRMC proudly promotes the Speak Up program sponsored by The Joint Commission, an organization that accredits hospitals and healthcare organizations.
WHAT IS THE SPEAK UP PROGRAM?
The Speak Up program is a patient safety program that encourages patients to be actively involved in their own health care. The program urges patients to:
- Speak up if you have questions or concerns
- Pay attention to the care you get
- Educate yourself about your illness
- Ask a trusted family member or friend to be your advocate (advisor or supporter)
- Know what medicines you take and why you take them
- Use a healthcare organization that has been carefully checked out
- Participate in all decisions about your treatment
If you are a patient being cared for at SampsonRMC and would like a copy of the Speak Up brochure, please request one from the supervisor on duty.
